INTRODUCTION TO SOCIOLOGY (Global Studies)

Sociology is the study of human social interaction, and unless you are planning to live alone in a cave for the rest of your life, this is a course that can be useful in all areas of your social life - in business, family, community, and personal relationships. The course is designed in such a way that the study of sociology as a scientific discipline can be applied to everyday situations and help the student develop an understanding of social influences on one's own behavior and the behavior of others. This knowledge can help the student become more tolerant and understanding of others who are different, as well as learn ways to exert more control over one's own life.

Grades are determined by four tests, class participation, and attendance. Extra credit exercises are also available.
